Plant Connections Study II

Beyond just designing a recycled and recyclable structure we are also designing it to be plant-able and increase the green footprint of our selected site. To do this we are designing integrated planters into the structure, below are some test images of our prototypes.

1. This plant had the cup connection. The water worked the best through this because there were 5 holes in the bottom of the cup and the water did not run down the insides of the tube.

4. This plant had the netting connection. The water seeped down through the holes of the netting and along the insides of the tube.

Water seeped down the insides of the tube and settled around the bottom where the tube met the ground.
